For my service learning experience at CSUMB, I decided to work at the Central Coast Citizenship Project in Salinas, CA. The project defines itself as a project that "provides immigration, naturalization, literacy, English language and new voter education integrated with leadership development in campaigns for social justice". The experience I received at this location was life changing, I got to learn about the importance of bilingualism, and how we can guide people towards a better future. One of the goals that I set for myself was to help as much a I could, trying my best to help people open new doors to a better future. This is the presentation I gave for this course.
